Wow. Your story is so interesting. I had no idea. God those amphetamines are risky.

That is interesting that your mom took you to the doctor when you were 14, to get you a prescription to amphetamines. It is unfortunate that people (parents) have this attitude that drugs that come from doctors are safe and okay, unlike drugs that are illegal. People want to believe there is a bright, easy to see, line between the drugs that are illegal and the drugs that are legal, but often the difference is simply one of historical circumstance, accident, prejudice or miseducation.

Thanks for sharing this story. We need to hear more stories like this.

I did not know you're story was on the videos till you mentioned it in a recent post. Thank you for sharing, I can relate to it. I took diet pills for many years (and NOT to lose weight), till one night I mixed them with a quantity of whiskey. That night was my wake up call...

WOW! Ginger, thanks-for-sharing...I felt your pane. So glad that you and Melissa are still doing this work for those who still suffer and for making Blogging easier for me to grasp now I understand the new thing is Twettering.

Love You,

Hi Ginger...Your story is just as interesting, helpful and amazing as the very first time i ever heard it. As a matter a fact, I think I am the first person to ever hear your story... This was before you even knew you were like me...(lol) In some ways that is... We were sitting on your bed talking, and you had listened to so many of my stories, night after night, day after day. They must have been interesting to you, because we didn't leave that room for months... (lol) If you were trying to figure out who I am when you began reading this, I am sure you know me now...lol... I wanted to write you but can't seem to find your E-mail or your address on here. Please write to me, we have so much catching up to do. I am very close to a year sober and clean...:) WOW Imagine that Gin Gin... I love you!!! P.H.G
